history

The album includes two cover versions by Sam Cooke and Janis Joplin . No Second Prize was released as the album's first single in August 1984. The song was originally written by Cold Chisel, but not recorded. The song was written in 1980 and dedicated to band members Alan Dallow and Billy Rowe, who both died in a car accident. The band's version appeared on their album Teenage Love in 1984 . The song was played in various Australian milk advertisements, making it even more popular. Vision , Daylight , No Second Prize , Promise Me You'll Call and Thick Skinned were all remixed for Barnes' next album, For the Working Class Man (1985) . The album title is based on a term from football .
