The Boeing plant Everett is the largest and most important production facility of the US aerospace company Boeing , about 50 kilometers north of Seattle . It is located in Everett , Washington state . The building was completed in 1968 for the final assembly of the Boeing 747 .

Due to the start of production of new aircraft types such as the Boeing 767 in 1980 and the Boeing 777 in 1993, extensive extensions were completed. In addition, the final assembly of the Boeing 787 takes place in Everett.

On the site, on which over 30,000 Boeing employees work in three shifts, there are also three paint shops and a dedicated rail terminal for the delivery of material. The “ Future of Flight Aviation Center ” aviation museum operated by Boeing is also located on the site . The area covers 415 hectares , of which 282 hectares are built on and 86 hectares are paved as road and taxiways. In terms of volume, the production hall is the second largest building in the world with 13,385,378 cubic meters, after the New Century Global Center in Chengdu with 20,000,000 cubic meters. Its footprint is 399,480 square meters, the height of the hall is 34 meters. The factory premises are directly connected to Paine Field Airport .

The plant's predecessors were the factories around ten kilometers south of Seattle, such as Boeing Plant 2 .
