The city of Everett is the county seat of Snohomish County in the US -amerikanischen State Washington . Everett has 103,019 inhabitants (as of 2010) on an area of 123.4 km² according to the census of the United States Census Bureau. The town was founded in 1891 on the initiative of the timber merchant Henry Hewitt and in the following year had more than 5,000 inhabitants. The initial boom was fueled by the discovery of what appeared to be massive deposits of gold and silver in Monte Cristo in the neighboring mountains and rumors that John D. Rockefeller , the richest man in the States, was investing heavily in both locations.
1994 was in the area of the city Naval Station Everett , a base of the US Navy opened.
