Christopher Mark Chandler (* 12. October 1965 in Everett , Washington ) is a former American American football poker players at the position of quarterback . In 1998 he ran with the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII .
Early years
Chandler attended high school in his hometown. He later attended the University of Washington .
NFL
Indianapolis Colts
In the 1988 NFL Draft , Chandler was selected in the third round in 76th place by the Indianapolis Colts . In his two years with the Colts, he completed 18 games in which he threw ten touchdowns and 15 interceptions . The Colts traded him to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
During his sophomore season with the Buccaneers, Chandler was fired (5 touchdowns - 14 interceptions).
Phoenix Cardinals
During the current 1991 season , the Phoenix Cardinals Chandler took under contract. In 1992 he had by far his best season to date. He threw 15 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. In total, he threw for 2,832 yards .
Los Angeles Rams
For the 1994 season , Chandler ran for the Los Angeles Rams .
Houston Oilers
After just a year with the Rams, he joined the Houston Oilers .
Atlanta Falcons
For the 1997 season, Chandler moved to the Atlanta Falcons . He had the best years of his career with the Falcons. He was elected to the Pro Bowl twice (1997 and 1998). 1998 led the Falcons to Super Bowl XXXIII , which was lost to the Denver Broncos at 34:19 . After the Super Bowl, Chandler signed a five-year $ 27 million deal with the Falcons.
Chicago Bears
In the 2001 NFL Draft, the Falcons signed Michael Vick as the new quarterback, which is why Chandler was released in 2002 and joined the Chicago Bears . After two years, his contract was terminated prematurely.
St. Louis Rams
In 2004 he completed another season with the St. Louis Rams , during the season Chandler was sacked despite a three-year contract and he ended his professional career.
