Michael Shamus Wiles (born October 27, 1955 in Everett , Washington ) is an American actor , best known for his roles in the series Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy .

Career

Michael Shamus Wiles is from Everett, Washington State, where he was born to one of six children, four boys and two girls. He grew up in Bangor , Michigan , where he graduated from high school in 1973. He has been an actor since 1982. In addition to numerous supporting roles in feature films, he was seen in 2001 in the role of the former US naval aviator and admiral Marc Andrew Mitscher in Pearl Harbor . Other well-known productions in which he participated include works such as Lost Highway , The X Files - The Film , Fight Club , Rock Star or Transformers .

However, he is known to a wider audience primarily for his supporting roles in a series. From 2008 to 2014 he played the role of Jury White in Sons of Anarchy and from 2009 to 2012 the role of George Merkert in Breaking Bad . There are also numerous guest roles in successful and long-running US series, as well as the setting of video game characters, for example in 2011 in LA Noire .

So far, Wiles has made a total of 130 film and television productions in which he has participated. His role spectrum is multi-layered, so he is cast on both good and bad characters, whereby he is more suitable as a character actor for bad and violent characters due to his stature and distinctive character (1.91 m) .
