Close to Home is an American television series produced by Warner Bros. Television for CBS television . In Germany, the series was first broadcast on VOX . It was developed by Jim Leonard, who is executive producer alongside Jerry Bruckheimer , Jonathan Littman and Simon West . On May 15, 2007, CBS announced the cancellation of Close to Home after two seasons.
action
Annabeth Chase is an ambitious and passionate prosecutor . She lives in a small suburb of Indianapolis with her six-month-old daughter Hayley and her husband. After the baby break, it is not easy for her to reconcile her private and professional life. The cases that Annabeth partly works on in her immediate neighborhood (“Close to Home”) are not that easy to solve either and are challenging. In addition to the seemingly perfect suburban idyll, crime often shows its darkest side. Annabeth faces not only domestic violence and neighborhood fights, but also kidnapping, prostitution, drug offenses, and murder. The professional experiences about it are reflected in her family (after a rape in the house of a client, her husband buys an alarm system for her). In contrast to other crime series, it's rarely about finding evidence, but almost exclusively about the relationships between suspects and victims, about their statements (which change at least once in most episodes), about "deals" between the public prosecutor and the accused, about the motives and about psychological aspects.
synchronization
The German synchronization was created under the dialogue direction of Dr. Alexandra von Grote through the dubbing company Interopa Film GmbH .
