Cress Williams
Cress Williams (born July 26, 1970 in Heidelberg ) is an American actor . He was best known for his roles as hit man Wyatt in Prison Break , as Detective Ed Williams in Close to Home , and as Mayor in Hart of Dixie .
Life
Williams was born in Heidelberg in Baden-Württemberg to Afro-American parents. He later attended Fullerton College as a teenager . There he appeared in Shakespeare's tragedy Othello in 1990 . A Los Angeles Times review criticized Williams' play as follows: “[Williams] is a wacky Othello, especially when jealousy hits his house. But his presentation does not go beyond the obvious; in addition, Williams tends to overplay. All of his emotions are superficial; It's hard to understand Othello's internal turmoil. ”Williams also starred in the production of Red Noses , a black comedy .
Since 1994, Williams has taken on a number of roles in television series, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , Beverly Hills, 90210 , NYPD Blue , Superman - The Adventures of Lois & Clark , JAG - On behalf of Honor , Living Single , Nash Bridges , Providence , Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Veronica Mars , The West Wing , Close to Home , Emergency Room - Die Notaufnahme and Grey's Anatomy . In 2000, Williams married actress Simbi Khali in Malibu .
