Held Up - Attention, hostage taking! (Held up) is an American film comedy by Steve Rash from the year 1999 .

action

Michael and his girlfriend Rae live in Chicago . You are driving through the American Southwest in Michael's new car. The car breaks. Rae learns by chance that it cost not $ 5,000 - as she previously thought - but about $ 15,000. Michael spent the savings that were intended to buy a house together.

Rae leaves Michael; a group of cowboys takes them to the Las Vegas airport . Michael locks his car keys in the car. The boy asked for help opens the car, but he then steals it.

Michael seeks a way to reach Rae before she takes off. However, he gets caught in a robbery in a shop. Michael becomes a hostage just like the other customers and the salesperson.

The police arrive and surround the shop. A female hostage has her husband notified that she will be home late. She wonders that her husband arrives much later than the policeman who notified him. There is a marital dispute through a mouthpiece, in which one of the robbers takes the side of the possibly betrayed woman.

A SWAT unit sneaks into the store, but is discovered and overwhelmed. The robbers get a bus with which they and Michael can leave.

Michael arrives at the airport late, but Rae is waiting for him there. They fly back to Chicago together. The plane is hijacked en route by the robbers Michael met in the store. You call out his name.
