Christopher "Chris" Miller (born September 23, 1975 in Everett , Washington ) is an American screenwriter , film and television director and film producer .

Life

Miller began his career as a screenwriter with the 1999 television series Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane . His next project was the animated series Clone High , which he also directed and executive producer on. He also worked with Phil Lord for the first time . This cooperation resulted in a connection that continues to this day.

Together they wrote two scripts for the series How I Met Your Mother . This was followed by participation in the script for Extreme Movie and the direction of the films Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009), 21 Jump Street (2012) and The Lego Movie (2014).

Due to creative differences, Miller and Lord were released from the task of directing their own Star Wars film with Solo: A Star Wars Story in June 2017 in the middle of filming . Ron Howard took over the direction.
