Phil Lord
Phil Lord (* 1977 in Coconut Grove , Miami , Florida ) is an American screenwriter , film and television director and film producer . He worked with Chris Miller on many of his projects .
Life
Phil Lord studied art history at Dartmouth College .
His short animated film Man Bites Breakfast won the 1998 New England Film and Video Festival award for Best Animated Film. Shortly afterwards he met Chris Miller, with whom he implemented numerous other projects. Lord and Miller wrote the script, directed and produced the 2002 animated series Clone High . Lord also voiced some of the characters. The duo then co-produced several episodes of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother as co-executive producers .
In 2009 Lord and Miller wrote the script and directed the animated film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs .
In June 2017, in the middle of filming, he and Miller were released from the task of completing the film Solo: A Star Wars Story . Ron Howard took over during filming.
