Dennis Brian Erickson (* 24. March 1947 in Everett , Washington ) is an American American football trainer.

He is currently the head coach of the Salt Lake Stallions in the newly founded Alliance of American Football (AAF). Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016 he was co-offensive coordinator, running back coach and assistant trainer at the University of Utah . From December 2006 to 2011, he was the head coach of Arizona State University , which bought him out of his five-year contract with the University of Idaho for $ 150,000 .

Before that, he coached the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League , where he was only able to win two wins in 16 games this season in his second year and was then released again. He celebrated his greatest success as a coach of college teams . He has been a member of the College Football Hall of Fame since 2019 .
