The Fortive Corporation is a US conglomerate whose subsidiaries are mainly focused on the manufacture of machines and measuring instruments. Fortive was founded in 2016 as a spin-off of the mechanical engineering division of the US conglomerate Danaher Corporation . After the restructuring, this consists largely of companies in the fields of biotechnology and medical technology. The Fortive group includes the Fluke Corporation , Hengstler GmbH , Tektronix and Gilbarco Veeder-Root . Fortive was ranked 420 on the Fortune 500 list of top-selling US companies in 2018.
