The Hengstler GmbH is a medium-sized company in Aldingen , which specializes in the production of industrial counting and control components. The subsidiary of Fortive Corporation is active in the field of electromechanics .

history

The master watchmaker Johannes Hengstler started the series production of gong springs in the Swabian town of Aldingen in 1846. From 1912, Hengstler began manufacturing precision turned parts. In 1926, the Efunda company, which manufactured counting devices, was taken over by Hengstler. Hengstler survived both the economic crisis at the end of the 1920s and a partial dismantling after the end of the Second World War . In 1954 the company had 100 company apartments built in order to attract new employees. The acquisition of a plastic injection molding machine for the production of our own plastic parts contributed to further economic success. In 1962 the first foreign subsidiary was founded, "Hengstler Great Britain" in Great Britain. In 1995, the Hengstler company was taken over by the US company Danaher Corporation and has since served customers such as Bosch , Festo , IBM and Siemens . After a spin-off of the Danahers mechanical engineering division, Hengstler is a subsidiary of Fortive Corporation .

Since 2002 there has been a museum in the building of the company founder, which also includes the former production facilities of the Hengstler company.
