Bohdan Kos (born May 6, 1941 in Wołomin ) is a Polish poet, philosopher, editor and physicist.

He graduated from the Wroclaw Political Engineering School at the Institute for Electronics. In 1988 he received his doctorate at the Politechnikum Warsaw . During his studies in Wroclaw he founded the artist group “Hermetoza” together with Ryszard Turkiewicz. After his marriage to Ninel Kameraz, he moved to Warsaw. He has two sons; Łukasz Kos is a theater director, Mateusz Kos is a rabbi.

In the 1980s he worked for the publishing house “LOS”. In 1991 he and Iwona Arkuszewska founded the foundation and the TIKKUN publishing house, which specialized in the publication of poetry, art history and Jewish studies.

Together with Wojciech Brojer and Jan Doktór he translated and published the Kabbalah ( Sefer Jezira or Book of Creation , Warsaw 1995). Kos is the author of mystical writings and the Polish Dictionary of Judaic Studies . Kos took part in the German-Polish poetry meeting Orfeus / Orfeusz in Breslau and Bad Muskau. Some poems were translated into German by Dieter Kalka within the Orpheus group of authors .
