Bohemond of Batrun

Bohemond of Batrun (* around 1199, † after October 1244 ) was lord of Batrun in the county of Tripoli by marriage .

He was the son of Prince Bohemond III. of Antioch and his fourth wife Isabella of Farabel. On his father's side he was a grandson of Raimund von Poitiers . After his father or grandfather he was also called Bohemond of Antioch or Bohemond of Poitiers .

As a minor he was married to Isabella von Batrun , the only daughter of Cäcilia von Batrun and Plebanus von Pisa and heiress of their rule Batrun. From his wife's right of inheritance , Bohemond was enfeoffed with the rule of Batrun.

In October 1244 he took part in the battle of La Forbie with his eldest son Johann . The battle ended in defeat, father and son were captured by the Muslims, in which they also died.

He had four children with Isabella:
