Jacob of Batrun

Jakob von Batrun (French: Jaques de Boutron ; * before 1244; † 1277 ) was a nobleman in the county of Tripoli .

He was the younger son of Bohemond of Antioch , Lord of Batrun , and his wife Isabella of Batrun. His older brother Wilhelm inherited the Batrun rule in 1244.

Jacob married Clarence, daughter of William of Hazart , lord of Hazart and constable of Antioch. He had three children with her:

  • Rudolf (Rostaing) († after 1282), 1277 lord of Batrun;
  • Alix, ∞ Wilhelm von Farabel , lord of Le Puy, constable of Tripoli around 1282;
  • Wilhelm.
