Bojana Bjeljac (born April 10, 1989 ) is a Croatian athlete who specializes in long-distance running.

Career

In 2017 she competed for the first time at both the Croatian Indoor Championships and the Croatian Championships. The indoor championships took place in the Austrian capital Vienna , and Bojana Bjeljac started in the 3000 meter run , where she won the silver medal behind Matea Parlov . On April 15, 2017, she took part in the Croatian championships in the 10,000 meter run in Zagreb , which are not part of the actual Croatian championships. Again she secured the silver medal behind Kristina Hendel . At the real Croatian championships she started in the 5000 meter run on July 8, 2017 and won her third silver medal behind the winner Matea Matošević .

For the first time she was able to win a championship title at the Croatian championships in 2018. On July 28, 2018, she started in the 5000 meter run and secured her first championship title in a time of 16: 44.17 minutes. A day later, she secured her second championship title in the 3,000-meter run in 9: 38.90 minutes. On September 16, 2018, she started at the seventh event of the Balkan Half Marathon Championships and secured second place and thus the silver medal in a time of 1:14:56 hours behind Serbian Olivera Jevtić .
