Bomba Tzur , including Bomba Zur , (born December 26, 1928 in Haifa ; died March 21, 1979 in Herzlia ) was an Israeli actor and singer in the 1960s and 1970s. He became known for his leading role as Kasimir Blaumilch in the film The Blue Milk Canal, based on a story by Ephraim Kishon .

Life

Tzur was born in Haifa as Joseph Weltzer. He attended school in Haifa. As a member of a military band, he entered the Palmach . He made his first appearances as an actor at the Haifa Theater. During the Palestine War he was a member of the Carmeli Brigade . After the war he had his first roles in plays such as The good soldier Schwejk . He made his first film appearance in the Israeli production Even Al Kol Meel . This was followed by other film roles in There were ten and holes in the moon . In Israel he was also known as a stage actor in the play Anatevka . He had his greatest success as Kasimir Blaumilch in the film The Blue Milk Channel from 1969, which won the prize for the best foreign film in Barcelona and was nominated for the Golden Globe . Tzur died in 1979.
