Bonga (Ethiopia)
Bonga is a city in southwest Ethiopia in the region of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples . The place was long the capital of the historical kingdom of Kaffa .
Population development
In 1938 Bonga had 3,000 inhabitants, 200 of whom were kaffa .
Attractions
In 2009 the construction of a national coffee museum began. Since June 2010, a forest area in Bonga than UNESCO - Biosphere Reserve recognized. The Kafa Biosphere Reserve primarily concerns the protection of the remaining forests in southwest Ethiopia, from which the coffee bushes , especially the Arabica coffee, are said to come.
