Bonhoeffer (family of scholars)
The Bonhoeffer (or Bonhöffer ) family came from Nijmegen and originally had the name van den Boenhoff ( from the Bohnenhof ). From 1513 she lived in Schwäbisch Hall . The descendants initially worked as goldsmiths, later also as doctors or pastors. The family provided 78 councilors, whose portraits are in the Michaelskirche, several family members held the mayor's office.
