Martin Bonhoeffer
Martin Klaus Anton Bonhoeffer (born March 29, 1935 in Leipzig ; † April 5, 1989 in Tübingen ) was a German social worker and home education reformer.
Life
Martin Bonhoeffer was the youngest son of Karl Friedrich Bonhoeffer and Margarete von Dohnanyi.
Bonhoeffer promoted the reform of home education in Germany from 1969 to 1982 and at the same time pointed the way. He played a leading role in the interim report of the Home Education Commission . At times he was responsible for the care of home children at the Berlin Senate . In 1982 Bonhoeffer, just 47 years old, suffered a stroke from which he did not recover: he was dependent on care until his death in 1989.
The youth welfare facility Martin-Bonhoeffer-Häuser in Tübingen , whose management he took over in 1976, is named after him.
In 2010, in connection with abuse scandals at the Odenwald School , a student brought charges against Bonhoeffer of sexual harassment . In 2014, the allegation of pedophilia was repeated by the former home student of the Odenwald School and today's film director Elfe Brandenburger.
