Booth Poole & Company was an assembly plant for motor vehicles and thus part of the automotive industry in Ireland .

Company history

The company was formed in 1954 or 1955 following a merger between Booth Bros. and WF Poole & Company . The seat was in Dublin . The assembly of automobiles continued. The parts continued to come from MG and the Wolseley Motor Company . In 1971 it was taken over by the Brittain Group .

vehicles

From MG sedans , Midget , MG B and some MG C survived. From January 1956 until at least 1959 the MG A was assembled and exported to South Africa . One of these vehicles still exists. In addition to TD , TF , Magnette and 1100/1300 called.

The Hornet was assembled by Wolseley . Offered were 6/99 , 15/60 and 1500 .

The Riley Elf was partially assembled for Brittains.

The figures for the first two years and the last year also include the assemblies at the predecessor companies and the successor company, as splitting is not possible within one year.
