Cap

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The board cap is a component of the uniform (on-board combat suit) of all ranks of the Navy . It is worn in two different designs, as a board cap, summer and board cap, winter.

The board cap is in the shape of a baseball cap , officially it's called a jockey shape . The hat in this form was introduced in the 1980s together with the work and combat suit , Marine , the forerunner of today's combat suit. Before wore enlisted the Navy to Takelpäckchen boat, NCOs and officers to work tightening cap or boat.

As a rule, commanders do not wear the ship's hat with their on-board combat suit, but the peaked cap, even if this is, strictly speaking, a violation of the clothing regulations.
