Boris Rommel (* 1984 in Karlsruhe ) is a German chef .

Career

Boris Rommel completed his training as a chef in the Erbprinz restaurant (1 Michelin star) in the Erbprinz Hotel in Ettlingen. This was followed by positions in the Hotel Bareiss in Baiersbronn, in the Colombi Hotel in Freiburg (1 Michelin star), in the Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe (2 Michelin stars), in the Villa Hammerschmiede in Pfinztal-Söllingen (1 Michelin star) and as a sous chef in the forest & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe (1 Michelin star).

From 2013 to January 2016 he was the owner and head chef of the Simplicissimus restaurant in Heidelberg and was rated 14 points in Gault Millau.

Since February 2016 Boris Rommel has been head chef in the gourmet restaurant "Le Cerf" in the Wald & Schlosshotel Friedrichsruhe , which was awarded a star in the Michelin Guide that same year. In November 2017, the restaurant was awarded its second Michelin star.

His cuisine is a fusion of French haute cuisine and regional influences.
