Boris Szulzinger

Boris Szulzinger (born September 20, 1945 in Ixelles / Elsene , Belgium) is a Belgian film director and producer. Szulzinger is also active in the film industry under the pseudonym Michael B. Sanders.

Work and activities in the film industry

Szulzinger first achieved greater fame with the cartoons he created in the 1970s and 1980s together with director Picha . With their three films, Szulzinger and Picha attracted worldwide attention and were able to record millions of moviegoers in Germany alone.

The film The Lonely Killers was nominated by Belgium as Best Foreign Language Film for the 45th Academy Awards , but was not nominated. The film Raoni with Marlon Brando was nominated at the 1979 Academy Awards for Best Documentary.

For his film Mama Dracula Szulzinger was able to engage the Oscar winner Louise Fletcher . For the English dubbing of the produced jointly with 20th Century Fox film Shame of the Jungle ( Shame of the Jungle ) Szulzinger could, among other things Johnny Weißmüller Jr. and Bill Murray win.

In addition to his work as a producer and director, Szulzinger founded Comedia , an intellectual property protection company that monitors royalties on films and television productions in order to maximize the profits of production companies and writers. This also includes the daily observation of the broadcasts of 200 different language TV programs in Europe. Szulzinger is also the managing director of ScreenExchange Ltd, which was founded in 1999 . Through his work, Szulzinger has become an expert in financing matters in the industry.
