Career

The libero and midfielder played from 1982 to 1986 for the club HNK Rijeka in the first division of Yugoslavia . After 69 games and one goal, he moved to German second division Arminia Bielefeld in the summer of 1986 . The Bielefeld-based company paid a transfer fee of 120,000 marks for the player , which manager Siegfried Kuntze handed over to match agent Milanović in cash at Zagreb Airport . After arriving in Bielefeld , Tičić told those responsible that he had been free of transfer, which was confirmed by his old club.

Tičić made his sporting debut on July 26, 1986 in the goalless draw of Bielefeld at Fortuna Cologne for Arminia. He played nine games without scoring before Tičić was out for months after injury. At the end of the 1986/87 season he left Bielefeld with an unknown destination. Tičić later became a coach and looked after the Croatian clubs NK Poromac , Rudar Labin and NK Crikvenica .
