Borivali (sometimes also Borivili or Borivli ) is an approximately 50 km² large and around 800,000 inhabitants district of Mumbai , the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra .

location

Borivali is located on the island of Salsette at an altitude of approx. 0 to 25  m approx. 35 km north of Mumbai. To the south are the boroughs of Goregaon and Andheri and the international airport ( Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport ) of Mumbai; to the east is the large forest area of ​​the Sanjay Gandhi National Park . The quickest way to get to Borivali (journey time approx. 35 minutes) is with the Western Line operating from Churchgate station or from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus ) with the suburban trains that run approx. Population and economy
