Marcel Gerds

Marcel Gerds (born December 8, 1983 in Stralsund ) is a German tax advisor and auditor .

Life

After graduating from high school in Grimmen , West Pomerania , he studied agricultural economics at the University of Neubrandenburg and spent a semester at the Department of Economics at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences . In 2013 he received his doctorate at the Agricultural and Horticultural Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin with a scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation . At the beginning of 2010 he was a visiting researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics there. In March 2014 Gerds was appointed as a tax advisor, since December 2014 also with the official designation "Landwirtschaftliche Buchstelle". Gerds has published numerous articles on agricultural economics and tax law issues and has been teaching agricultural management at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Bernburg since the 2013/2014 winter semester . He is also active in international consulting, especially in Ukraine.

Gerds has been editor-in-chief of Letters on Agricultural Law and board member of the cooperative auditing association PROGRESS since March 2015 . As a full-time managing director, Gerds heads the agriculture and forestry division of the ETL Group . He is a member of the committee for economic advice and accounting at the German Agricultural Society and the German Society for Agricultural Law, the Main Association of Agricultural Book Offices and Experts , the Brandenburg Forest Owners Association and the Brandenburg Landowners Association (from May 2016: "Familienbetriebe Land und Forst")

Gerds lives in the district of Wartenburg in the city of Kemberg .
