The ETL Group is an internationally operating group of companies with a focus on tax and legal advice , auditing and management consulting . It is the nationwide market leader in tax consulting and, with a turnover of over 900 million euros (2018), is one of the top 5 auditing and tax consulting companies in Germany.
history
At the beginning of the 1970s, Franz-Josef Wernze and Klaus F. K. Schmidt joined forces to practice their profession as tax consultants. They quickly realized that the clients' need for advice was not limited to tax issues. The vision of a holistic law firm concept was born, which should enable tax, economic and legal advice from a single source. Franz-Josef Wernze continued this business idea in the following years and developed a group of companies that has been run under the "ETL" brand since 1995.
Services
The ETL Group offers consulting services in all tax, legal, economic, organizational and financial issues for private individuals , the self-employed , freelancers and small and medium-sized companies . Special consulting and strategy concepts have been developed for petrol station companies , health professions , hotels and restaurants , farmers and foresters , franchise businesses , senior citizens and professional athletes .
The ETL Group also includes felix1.de AG Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, which was launched in 2014. It is aimed at target groups with a more online affinity and supplements classic advice with digital elements, such as B. online identification.
Nationwide, more than 7,000 partners and employees, including more than 1,500 tax advisors, lawyers, auditors and management consultants, look after over 180,000 clients in more than 870 law firms. In addition, the ETL Group is active in 50 countries around the world under the "ETL Global" brand.

While the tax advisory services in the subgroup are combined by Freund & Partner GmbH Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, industry-specific software solutions and data center capacities are offered in an independent subgroup under the management of eurodata AG. In addition, the RCU Vermögensverwaltung subgroup provides complementary advisory and financial services with a focus on the tax advisory profession.
In addition, ETL Rechtsanwälte GmbH, Essen, and ETL AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Berlin, coordinate the legal advisory business and the auditing activities of the ETL Group.
ETL's international partners work together at more than 180 locations worldwide under the "ETL Global" brand. In addition to this cooperation network, "ETL Global" includes the investments of the ETL Group in European target markets, such as B. Social commitment and sports promotion
In 2008 the ETL foundation "Kindertäume" was founded. Since then, particularly needy and sick children and young people have been supported in over 200 aid projects across Germany.
