The Borouai ( Portuguese Ribeira Borouai ) is an East Timorese river in the administrative office of Uato-Lari ( municipality of Viqueque ), in the southeast of the island of Timor .

The Borouai has its source in Suco Babulo and initially flows to the east. then it follows the border to the Suco Vessoru to the southeast , before the Borouai flows into the Timor Sea near the village of Vessoru .
