The Borrans Reservoir is a reservoir in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The Borrans Reservoir is north of Troutbeck Bridge and east of the Dubbs Reservoir . The Dubbs Beck forms its inflow in the west and its outflow in the south.
The reservoir was created in the 1880s to sell water for operations along the River Gowan . Then it was used to supply Windermere with water ; however, it is no longer used commercially.
