The Dubbs reservoir is a reservoir in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The Dubbs Reservoir is north of Troutbeck Bridge east of the Latrigg Tarns and northwest of the Borrans Reservoir .
The Dubbs Beck forms its inflow in the north and its outflow in the south.
The reservoir was originally created to collect drinking water for Windermere , but it now serves as a reserve for the Thirlmere supply system.
