Botanical garden of the city of Hof
The Botanical Garden of the City of Hof is an urban botanical garden in the Theresienstein Park in Hof . It is open from April 1st to October 31st from 8 a.m. to evening. The address is Alte Plauener Straße 16.
history
The school garden, which was founded on April 1, 1929, was expanded into a botanical garden by Rudolf Hutschenreiter by 1932 . During World War II , the garden was kept minimally by prisoners of war for growing vegetables. The garden was later given a general overhaul.
The botanical garden was part of the Bavarian State Garden Show from April 29 to October 3, 1994 .
The garden
The garden contains flowers of all kinds. Its components include the changing pile , the frog fountain, but also places to relax. The respective flowers are provided with information, including taxonomic terms .

The Friends of the Botanical Garden and the Theresienstein Hof e. V. allow free entry.
Planting outside the garden
In the summer months, flower beds are also created in the Theresienstein Park itself outside the Botanical Garden. Examples of this are the carpet bed on the lion statue or the plantings on the Thomashöhe.
