Botres
Botres ( Greek Βότρης ) was, according to Antoninus Liberalis, a son of Eumelos of Thebes .
Eumelus was a servant of Apollo . When sacrificing a lamb, Botres ate the brain of the sacrificial animal before it was placed on the altar. Eumelus therefore burned his son in anger. To soothe Eumelos' pain at the loss of his son, Apollon turned Botres into a bird, a bee-eater .
