Boulazac Basket Dordogne is a French basketball club from Boulazac , an incorporated part of Périgueux , in the Dordogne department . Currently, the club enters the second highest French league LNB Pro B on.

history

The club was formed in 1992 from the team of Union Sportive Périgourdine (USP) Basket when they were looking for a larger venue after promotion to the national leagues of France. After the move began from the lowest national division NM3 as US Périgord Boulazac in 1998, the promotion to the highest national division. From 2005 to 2012 they played in the second highest division Pro B of the Ligue Nationale de Basket . Here you only reached places in the lower third of the table until you could reach the runner-up in this division and promotion to the top national division Pro A in the 2011/12 season.

In his first first division season 2012/13 Boulazac BD reached eleven wins in 30 games as a promoted player, which was only enough for penultimate place in the table and meant relegation to Pro B.

Boulazac has been back in the LNB Pro B since the 2013/14 season.
