River course

The Boulder River has its source in the Cascade Range . It flows in a northwest and then northeast direction through the Boulder River Wilderness to finally flow into the Stillaguamish River , which in turn flows into Port Susan , part of the Puget Sound . The source of the river is the Craig Lakes, which are located on the slopes of the so-called Three Fingers . After exiting the lakes, it falls over Craig Lake Falls and flows into the Boulder River Wilderness.

From there the river flows northwest and as soon as it turns northeast it flows over Boulder Falls . The river then flows over another waterfall, Half Mile Falls, and finally into the Stillaguamish River.
