Boumba ( English spelling: Bumba ) is a village in the rural municipality of Falmey in Niger .

Boumba is located in the south of the municipal area of ​​Falmey on the left bank of the Niger River , which forms the state border with Benin here. At Boumba the Dallol Bosso flows into the Niger. The W National Park is located near the village . The majority of the population belongs to the Zarma ethnic group . Boumba had 866 people in the 1988 census, 1,414 people in the 2001 census, and 1,774 people in the 2012 census.

The village was founded in the mid-19th century by several Zarma families who came from the troubled city of Dosso . Boumba was for a short time - from February 1 to December 2, 1908 - the seat of a sector of the same name in the French military territory of Niger.
