Bowmore ( Scottish Gaelic Bogh Mòr ) is the capital of the Scottish island of Islay , which is part of the Inner Hebrides . The famous Bowmore whiskey distillery is located here .
The city, founded in 1768, has a distinctive main street that runs from the coast through the city and at the end of which is the eye-catching Kilarrow Parish Church .
