The Petit Brabançon ( French for Little Brabanter , in German Brabanter Griffon ) is a breed from Belgium recognized by the FCI ( FCI Group 9, Section 3, Standard No. 82 ), which belongs to the Belgian dwarf griffon .
description
The Petit Brabançon is short-haired. The hair is harsh, lying flat, shiny and no more than 2 cm long. Possible colors are red, black as well as black and tan , whereby a black mask should always be present. Some white hair on the chest is tolerated but not desirable. The head is rather large compared to the body and, according to the breed standard, should show an almost human expression . The ears are small and set on high, carried half upright and tilting forward. Earlier the ears were cropped to make erect ears .

The Petit Brabançon is described as balanced, attentive, very vigilant, neither fearful nor aggressive, proud and very affectionate towards its owner.
