The E V12 is a small-series sports sedan based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class from Brabus . As early as 1993, Brabus installed a twelve-cylinder engine in an E-Class vehicle for the first time; this E 500 6.9 Brabus can be regarded as the predecessor of the E V12.

Brabus E V12 7.3S (based on W 124)

The first E V12 was offered based on the W 124 . It had a 7.3 liter and 428 kW (582 hp) twelve-cylinder engine. Brabus itself speaks of about 5 vehicles built, one of which was previously the aforementioned E 500 6.9 Brabus, which was converted to the 7.3 and later the 7.3S at the customer's request.

Brabus E V12 (based on Mercedes W 210)

The first E V12 came on the market in 1996. It was based on the Mercedes-Benz W 210 , but had a 12-cylinder engine. The power was 428 kW (582 hp) and 772 Nm of torque , which were drawn from 7.3 liters of displacement . This naturally aspirated engine had 48 valves, whereas the current 12-cylinder engine has 36 valves and two turbochargers . With a top speed of 330 km / h ( sedan ) or 320 km / h ( T-model ) it was the fastest street-legal sedan in the world.

The maximum speed of both the sedan and the T-model was electronically limited because no tire manufacturer was able to supply suitable tires for even higher speeds.

Brabus E V12 (based on Mercedes W 211)

The second generation is based on the Mercedes-Benz W 211 . Its 6.2-liter V12 engine develops 471 kW / 640 hp , has a torque of 1026 Nm and accelerates the E-V12 sedan to up to 350.2 km / h. The new E V12 thus takes over the world record of its predecessor. The top speed of 350 km / h was determined during a test by auto motor und sport on the high-speed test track in Nardò , Italy .

The E V12 was later replaced by the E V12S, which, like the Brabus Rocket, has the more powerful 6.2-liter biturbo engine with 537 kW (730 hp).

Top speed

Brabus officially states the maximum speed for the production vehicle as 340 km / h. Newly developed tires from Pirelli and Michelin in the dimensions 255/35 ZR 19 (front axle) and 285/30 ZR 19 (rear axle) enable a higher top speed than the previous model because the E V12 (211 series) is not electronic like this must be limited.

acceleration

The E V12 has the following acceleration values:

  • 0-100 km / h: 4.5 seconds
  • 0-200 km / h: 11.7 seconds
  • 0-300 km / h: 30.6 seconds
E V12S
  • 0-100 km / h: 4.2 seconds
  • 0–200 km / h: 10.5 seconds
  • 0-300 km / h: 29.5 seconds

price

In 2005 the base price of the Brabus E V12 was 298,000 euros.
