The village of Brackstedt-Velstove-Warmenau was formed after a district reform on July 1, 1972 for the municipal reorganization of Lower Saxony, after the previously independent communities Brackstedt, Velstove and Warmenau from the Helmstedt district to the city of Wolfsburg.
