action

Homer is sleepwalking , which is why Bart manages to drive his father to different places. When Homer wakes up while driving, he accidentally drives into a fire station. There he spilled a pot of chili, causing all the firefighters to slip. The injuries are so great that they are unable to put out fires. Homer feels guilty and signs up with Apu , Skinner, and Moe for the volunteer fire department . On his first job, he clears an Italian restaurant and receives free food as a reward. They are also amply rewarded with the other fires. However, they are disappointed when they rescue stingy multimillionaire C. Montgomery Burns . A single thank you is not enough for the firefighters and they steal from Burns by labeling the items as smoke damaged. In the next department store fires, they also take loot with them, whereupon Homer is discovered by his family. Homer's disappointed children make him rethink. Apu and Moe - Skinner left the fire department because he was against theft - are in a life-threatening situation while stealing. Homer saves them both and becomes a hero. All the stolen goods are then sent to the poor district.
