Branko Bošnjak

Branko Bošnjak (born January 14, 1923 in Stojčinovac near Osijek , Yugoslavia , † June 18, 1996 in Zagreb ) was a Yugoslav philosopher and professor of philosophy at the University of Zagreb .

Life

Branko Bošnjak studied philosophy, South Slavic literature and languages ​​as well as ancient Greek at the University of Zagreb . His dissertation in 1956 was on Povijest filozofije kao nauka (History of Philosophy as Science). In 1960 he completed his habilitation with his work Logos i dijalektika. Studija o Heraklitu (Logos and Dialectics. Studies on Heraklit ). He was a lecturer, from 1963 professor of philosophy at the University of Zagreb, and a member of the practice group . In addition to Greek philosophy, he was particularly interested in the relationship between Marxism and religion.
