The Brantental (also Brandental ) is a narrow V-valley that branches off from the Adige Valley near Laives in the South Tyrolean Unterland towards the east to the Regglberg , where it finally ends at Nova Ponente. It is accessed by a narrow, partly unpaved road. The Brantenbach flows through the Branten Valley . It is very sparsely populated and is known for the fact that in some places there is no sun for five to six months of the year (between October and March).
