The Braque Dupuy or Braque Lévrier was a French dog breed recognized by the FCI (formerly FCI Group 7, Section 1.1, Standard No. 178 ), which is still recognized by the SCC today. She was one of the bracken .
history
The Braque Dupuy was developed at the beginning of the 19th century by a hunter from the Poitou named Pierre Dupuy. There are various theories about their ancestors, including a cross between a Braque Français and a greyhound ( French: Lévrier ). As a result, the breed should originally have been regarded as a Lurcher .
The last published breed standard of the Braque Dupuy dates from 1963. The FCI regards the breed as extinct and has removed it from its lists.

The Braque Dupuy was a large, rather light, but nevertheless strongly built dog with an elegant appearance. Males were generally more angled than females, especially in the hindquarters. The head was rather long, without skin folds, with lips close-fitting, without a stop ; the eyes were yellow or brown, the ears very fine and smooth, set at eye level, long rather than short, and folded back slightly.
The fur was smooth and quite short, especially on the head and ears. The color was white with brown spots, preferably with a brown saddle, whereby the muzzle and eyebrows always had to be white.
