The Brasilsat B1 , which was launched in 1994, is a former broadcast satellite of the Brazilian telecommunications company Embratel . From December 2000 the newly founded subsidiary Star One was responsible for the operation.
reception
Brasilsat B1 could be received in the whole of America except Alaska , as well as the Iberian Peninsula and Northwest Africa . The transmission took place in the C-band . In December 2010, the satellite was placed in cemetery orbit .
