The former Nörvenich brewery was located in Zülpicher Strasse 2 in Nörvenich in the Düren district .

The brewery was popularly called "en de Möht". With Möht a pot was meant with the one from the powered brewery his beer brought. A woman who died in the 1940s and who had worked here as a “maid” in her youth was called “Möhte Liesche” by the old Nörvenich family.

Michael Hilden's widow can be identified as the first owner of the property, which was built on with a four-sided courtyard at the beginning of the 19th century . Michael Hilden is listed in the list of the French authorities as "Cabaretier", the French word for innkeeper . In birth certificates from 1800 and 1802, the registrar entered “beer pint”. Michael Hilden died in 1803.

The property later belonged to Laurentius Winands, his son-in-law. He died in 1846, his occupation was always given as Ackerer. Johann Wilhelm Winands, Laurenz's son, born in 1808, married Catharina Oepen from Irresheim in 1838 . He was a brewer and built the brewery on his parents' property. Perhaps he was able to use or expand equipment that the "beer dispenser" Michael Hilden had already used, although it is not known that M. Hilden brewed the beer himself. Johann Wilhelm Winands died in 1890. His son Joseph is referred to as the brewery owner several times in official documents. He died in 1909 at the age of 67. At this time the brewery was closed.

From the old brewery, the extensive, arched, brick-built cellar rooms are still preserved, in which the beer could be stored cool. In addition, a relatively large brick well was discovered in the courtyard around 1980 .

In the old days beer was driven through the villages by horse and cart. Sales should have been particularly high on the days of the fair . Anyone who could afford to put a keg in the cellar for this highest and only festival of the year. Since there was no artificial cooling, it soon had to be drunk.

Around 1909, the official retirement master Gottfried Boch moved into the house, which also housed the official treasury of the mayor's office in Nörvenich . Later, probably in 1918, the pharmacist Jakob Schorn bought the house and set up his pharmacy here , which existed until the 1970s.
