The house Braunschweiger Straße 100 is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the south side of Braunschweiger Strasse in Magdeburg's Sudenburg district . The building is a single monument in the Braunschweiger Straße 1–10, 98–108 monument area . The building, which is also listed, Braunschweiger Straße 99 , borders to the west and Braunschweiger Straße 101, 102 to the east .

Architecture and history

The four-story brick building was built for the timber merchant Friedrich Klaus in 1887 together with a rear building. The six-axis facade is designed with plaster elements in the neo-renaissance style. There is rustication on the ground floor . Above the window openings on the first floor there are pointed, on the second floor round window roofs.

The residential building is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 81940 in the monument register for Magdeburg .

As part of the row of houses from the Wilhelminian era that has been preserved, the building is a defining feature of the street scene and an important document for the structural development of Sudenburg during the construction period.
