It is located on the west side of Braunschweiger Straße near its southern end in the Sudenburg district . To the north is the also listed building, Braunschweiger Straße 106 , to the south, to the house Braunschweiger Straße 108, Halberstädter Straße 88 . The building is a single monument in the Braunschweiger Straße 1–10, 98–108 monument area .
Architecture and history
The large five-storey building was built in 1889 according to plans by the architect Hugo Bahn . The builder was the sculptor G. Zabel. The facade of the plastered building is designed in the neo-baroque style. There is rustication on the ground floor . The windows on the first and second floors have canopies and are framed by pilasters .
In the monument register for Magdeburg , the house is listed as a historical building under registration number 094 81946 .
The building is considered part of the preserved late nineteenth row of houses as being essential for the streetscape and important document for planning development Sudenburgs in the construction period.
