Breido Graf zu Rantzau (born October 25, 1949 in Breitenburg ) is president of the German Equestrian Association (FN), lord of the castle, owner of a golf club, horse breeder and former show jumper .

Every year, the Breitenburger Reitertage takes place on his property , a show jumping tournament.

Rantzau is very involved in equestrian sports and horse breeding. Since 1986 he has been chairman of the Association of Breeders of the Holstein Horse . Since 1999: Vice President of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH). From 2001 to 2005 he was Vice President of Sports within FN . From 2001 to 2005 he was chairman of the German Equestrian Olympiad Committee (DOKR). He has been President of the FN since 2005. Breido Graf zu Rantzau was also involved in the revision of the international medication regulations.

In 2007 he received the Gustav Rau Medal.

Rantzau's wife Elke (1944–2015) was Hendrik Snoek's sister .
